Are your feelings of anxiety constant?
I'm wondering if everyone feels the same way I do. My chest hurts all the time. It feels so heavy like I'm holding my breath. Thoughts always racing. It's hard to concentrate. I feel stressed and afraid all the time.
Sounds like you're anxiety is there a lot, so sorry you're feeling that. Have you tried to meditate? I started recently and I found that it's very calming and I think it's responsible responsible for helping me to feel so much lighter in my chest. Have you also tried deep breathing? Going outside to walk/exercise or be in touch with nature? These can help significantly. Hope you feel better soon💕
I feel like every time I try to do something to help myself life throws me a curve ball that leaves me very depressed. Lately I dont have any coping skills to deal with life's ups and downs
I made. mistake at work last week and I can't come out from it. My emotions are all over the place.
Thank you for the kind words 😊
I know it can be so hard to do things, coping skills, especially when you're feeling down. Those are the times that you really need to push yourself. I'd like you to try one of the coping skills, maybe the breathing for meditation since you can do it at home, and let me know how it went for you. Sometimes having somebody be accountable to you helps. I will wait for your response.
As for your repetitive thoughts about the mistake you made at work, that's just your mind at work focusing on it because it can. You have the ability to intervene by doing something to distract it and counteracting it with positive thought like " it's okay that I made a mistake. And I learned from it." You can help yourself, you're always in control of you. I hope this is useful.
I searched breathing mediation on Google and found some videos on youtube but it didnt help. What helped a little was crying. I have chronic stress from work and home. I guess crying helped alleviate the tension in my chest. Can you recommended a video to watch?
I find 'Michael Sealey' on You Tube very good.
I'll check it out. thank you 😊
You're very welcome
That's really great that you tried the meditation... Really good. What matters is that you're putting forth the effort. Crying is a great way to relieve stress and tension, happy to hear you feel a little better from it. Are you seeing a therapist right now?
yes, on and off for many years.
Thank you ☺
Yes. It unfortunately dictates my life. I’ve come to accept it but it’s taken a long time. Meditation helps me a lot.
How long have you been like this? It's going on 10 years for me. I get so tired of being in this constant state of anxiety all the time.
Mostly yes. Gets a little easier in the Night. I do use Relaxation/Meditation which is helping gradually. Hope you feel better soon x
thank you. I hope you feel better too 😊
I can so relate! I have two kids (6 years and 3 years) and I get overwhelmed easily. I’ve had panic disorder since I was 11 years old. Medication has put a band aid on my anxiety but I still have my fair share of racing and catastrophic thoughts. Sometimes I catch myself holding my breath and then I freak out that it’s a medical emergency. I find drinking tea helps, mints, walking, deep breathing and reminding myself I’ve been through this before and I can get through it again.
I'm sorry to hear you have been dealing with this a long time. It sounds like you learned some good coping strategies! I need to try some of them.
I remember when my kids where that age. I was a stay at home mom at the time and it wasnt easy! I have teenagers, 14 and 16. Different challenges now lol.
Crying is cathartic, too. Just releasing all those emotions and stress.
God I feel the same way
I'm sorry you are dealing with this too. I so happy I found this forum and have met so many supportive people. 😊
I hear ya, i feel the same. I hardly ever get a break. Its torture. Im sorry you have to deal with this pain, truly.
Thank you. I'm sorry you are dealing with this too. Since the anxiety is constant I try very hard not to focus on it otherwise I think I would go crazy. Glad I met people who know what it's like going through this.
This site is great with helping bringing people together, its good to not feel so alone. I try to keep occupied as well, it can be trying, but its best to try and focus on something else. I hope you can find some relief from this constant anxiety. Sending you peace and positive energy 😊
same to you ♥️
Yes I can relate. My chest and throat are tight all the time. My muscles are tense all the time. My heart races, I have diarrhea. I beat myself up too. My mom told me "do your best and then let it go" What's the worst that'll happen? I get fired? Ya it'll suck but I can't live in this constant fear. I'm always nervous about going to work, the store or leaving the house. I'm pushing myself to keep working, get my bills paid off and stop working. That's the only way I am going to get any relief from my anxiety. I'm just praying I make it to get the bills paid off. I do feel your pain and I'm glad you posted. We need each others support
I live in fear too. I get anxious driving to and from work and feel I need to constantly prove myself. It's a struggle every morning just to get out of bed. Hang in there. Things will get better!
YES. I feel like I’m going to puke all the time
I never felt nauseous before. Sorry to hear that.
