Is something particular on your mind or it is the pain keeping you awake?

Something on my mind that's why

Oh that will do it. Have you tried journaling your thoughts out?

Have you tried white noise? When my anxiety is bad I put white noise on my iPad, put my headphones in and it calms me down and puts me right to sleep. Sometimes soothing noises, a dark room, deep breaths while counting backwards from 100 counts. I know it sounds dumb, but it works for me. It may not for you, but why not try!

Thanks it will definitely try this..

I understand! I struggle too! I took lynnalice’s advice and tell myself that I’m just resting my eyes 👀. Helps me relax and take the pressure off of falling asleep!

in reply to

So in bed you just tell yourself that you are resting your eyes then you fall asleep?

in reply to

Something like that Jimmy 😊 Helps relieve the pressure on myself to fall asleep because I’m just resting my eyes! Mind over matter-type thing...👀😉👀

in reply to

I'll be trying that then 😉

Thanks 👁️👁️

Just adding ammo to my armory for the next sleepless night or two that I have.

Have you tried listening to binaural beats or relaxing music? Deep breathing and meditating before bed can also help relax you. Some other natural methods include using essential oils to help you relax.

in reply to

These work for you?

in reply to

Definitely. I mostly fall asleep listening to meditation music or lo-fi beats or binaural beats. It helps get my mind off things.

in reply to

I'll try some next time I'm wide awake in the middle of the night

Thanks

in reply to

No problem. Hope it helps!

I'll let you know 👍☺️

There are so many things to aid sleep but this might be helpful

...or you could just accept that your sleep patterns are going to be disrupted by anxiety for a while and just go with the flow. If you fall asleep, great! If you don’t, so what? You feel a bit tired the next day. That’s it. You will eventually sleep when your body is tired and there’s very little you can do about it. Worrying about whether or not you will sleep just adds more stress which feeds your anxiety which stops you sleeping.

Accept and let go. It’s the best tranquilliser by far.

See your gp could be reflux or something giving you chest pains

It's because of anxiety

I was hospitalized a few days back and the doctors said it's anxiety , depression and palpitation.

I feel your pain...having same problem, just joined this site and reading posts looking for advice. Have you ever heard of adrenal supplements? Someone told me when your adrenal gland gets out of wack from stress/anxiety etc, your cortisol goes crazy and you need to get that back to normal. Apparently, these supplements help! Mine arrive :) tomorrow..will update! Good luck!!!
