That's one big circle! If you don't eat that will ensure that you will continue to be anxious and depressed... Purely from a nutritional point, so... even if you don't feel hungry, try looking at it differently; as nutrition, fuel, maintenance etc. You don't have to have a huge elaborate meal, something small would help. Choose something you really like and go for it.

Yes, I agree with you!

Please please try to eat something throughout the day, even if it’s very small. I’ve had an eating disorder since I was 17 years old & when I get into one of my moments, I won’t eat the whole day & I begin to really hurt once I come out of it. It’s not healthy for either of us. I hope you’re okay, & things get better for you. 🖤

I deal with the same thing, lots of times it will be dinner time and I'll realize I haven't ate all day and only had 1 cup of water to drink all day. I started setting alarms on my phone and make myself drink and eat when they go off. Usually it's something small like half a banana or some cheese or almonds but I try to eat and drink something every couple of hours.

I've struggled with binge eating and anorexia my whole life...I just happened to notice your profession. When I don't have control over the tendency to neglect food, I hyper focus on food and cook huge elaborate meals for other people. It's interesting to note. Are you in therapy? Has your therapist made a correlation between your profession and eating disorder?

No. Am not in therapy and I don't have a therapist. Because most times my medication helps me.

I am in agreement with the other people who have replied, who have encouraged you to eat small meals throughout the day for the purpose of nutrition. The nutrition may also help your thinking, and not just your anxiety and depression. Your brain requires food to think clearly and make good decisions. Perhaps you can also try drinking smoothies. You may be able to get some nutritional needs met by blending fruit, yogurt, nuts, and some veggies into a smoothie. I worked in a hospital for people with eating disorders and they were also given Glucerna, as a supplement to meals. Since you are not working with a therapist, it might be a good idea to find you. Although, you say you are on medication, sometimes medication puts in a place to allow you to benefit from therapy. The two are not mutually exclusive. They can actually work together very well.
