Its horrible

It sucks. Im always waiting for something to happened. Something or someone to fall from the sky. A gun to go off or a bomb to explode. Im always on alert all the time. Its exhausting. And im getting sick of my house.

Have you seen a doctor about this?

On and off for about 6 years. Ive had good experiences and some bad ones. But no one ever really got it. They just wanted to pump full of drugs. Ones that made me worse off

AmandaElise,

Sounds similar to what I go through. I am constantly thinking someone is choking. It could be a cough or sneeze or no sound at all and I will be so sure that someone is dying that I run to them to find out each time that everything is fine yet I am still constantly trying to save people from nothing. I don’t think people around me understand what it’s like.

I’m really sorry you have that impending doom on your mind. Yes being on alert all the time is exhausting for sure. I hope you will find a way, that we both, will find a way to relax and feel better soon. Best to you.

Thank you. Im trying. Im hoping hearing out other people's anxiety issues will give me more strength. I just want to live. But sometimes its like im not in control of what my body does. It gets frustrating but its safety at the same time.

Yup it helps to know we are not alone and that it can get better. Oh yeah not having control is rough. I’m trying to stop myself when I get the fear but so far I just have the need to check.

Your need to check is similar to my need to seek out escape plans. I had an incident last year, we went dorney and it was so packed i found myself mapping out an escape plan in case something happened. I was there for like half an hour before i basically ran to my car... have you been able to pin point when it started for you?

I do that too, look for escape just Incase. I think it’s a smart thing to do actually and to be aware of our surroundings.

I don’t know when or why it started for me. Does yours point to any particular event or reason?
