Waking up with anxiety

Hello new to the place, well my name is Nancy mother if 4 single parent. Ok I've always struggled with anxiety and depression but lately it's been coming at me hard. I've been learning to cope with it without the medication why because I was over medicated. I'm just needing someone to talk to and that'll listen.

So tell me have u ever woken up with anxiety. Like your heart beating in your ears and a feeling of dread, like something is going to happen?

More than I can say! I don't know if you read my post from yesterday, at the DMV at 8:15 am , horrible anxiety...took me 4 hours to calm myself, then so exhausted I had to take a nap! Try to breathe in slowly through your nose then out through your mouth..it really does help to calm you!

I didn't but I will read it. I get exhausted too after an anxiety attack but I can't take a nap as hard as I try I can't. I just hate the feeling but we all do.

Single parent to 4 kids... My hat's off to you. I would say that anxiety is probably not out of the norm.

I think it's not but God do I wish it would just stop. Like right now I'm super anxious my whole body feels like I just want to run just run.

I get that feeling too like my body wants to run... you know what I do at least two times a day is run... but I know not everyone has time to run. Another thing that helps anxiety is meditation you can look up Tara Brach for guided meditations. For a quick and easy solution try deep breathing.

I get the something is going to happen feelings. I just try to talk myself down by reminding myself that it’s very unlikely that anything horrible will happen but it doesn’t always work. When I get overwhelmed I try to take things moment by moment in the present.

You must be so busy with 4 kids and being a single parent. You have my respect. I have 2 little ones, one grown. It’s a lot of work and I’m always questioning am I being the best mom I can be.
