Headaches

Hello, everyone. Recently i've been experiencing headches that does not pass even when i take a painkiller. There was a day which i took 3 painkillers and none of them worked. Can anxiety give us headaches???. It is a torture, cause i feel my nerves hurting! I've tried to relax by putting on some music and turning my blue lights on, none of this worked until now.

Anxiety can definitely cause headaches. But, you need to call primary care doc and tell them. Hopefully they will send you to a neurologist, so they can give you advice about migraines. Plus, they need to evaluate your psychiatric meds for depression and anxiety. Are the painkillers you took, for migraines or are they for something else? Need more info, but your doc could probably help with info.

Medications for anxiety and depression usually take 30 days to take effect. They have to be taken exactly as prescribed, because they have to build up a certain level in your body. If you miss a pill or two, it might take longer to build up that level. And you can't just stop taking them. You have to taper down with a doctors knowledge otherwise you can start to feel headaches, fatigue, nausea, etc.

It sounds like you have a lot on mind. Is there anyone local that you can take walks with? Have a cup of coffee with? Someone that you can exchange stories/experiences with locally? Is there help through your school/job? It sounds like you need some hugs from a friend. I am sending some calm thoughts your way.

I cried with your message. Yes, there's a lot going on. It is so hard, i'm only 20 and i Wonder how i am going to get over this disease....thank you for being so lovely and kind 😘😘 i'm home Alone, it's been 3 days since my parents went to travel ( i refused to go) but everytime i have time to think, this happens....yes, i missed two pills, and i got worse. Now i'm trying to take my meds properly. I'm not under any strong medication. Just fluoxetine, 1 pill per day, and i do take a natural sleep support pill .

Hang in there, I know that’s easier said than done. I know when I’m home alone I start to think of all types of things, I don’t like it when no one is here but I can’t expect everyone to stay home with me either. I hope it helps just a little to know that you aren’t so alone.

this has been happening to me for the last couple of weeks. i went to the dr & she just told me to take pain killers to see if they helped & they didn’t, so they want to do a CT scan if the headaches persist...

so are mine. i’ve had to stay home from school for multiple days...i’m so sorry this is happening. you should definitely talk with your dr & if you ever want to talk to me, i’m here!
