I'm sorry I've not been around for a few days, sincerely sorry. I have a cold. Poor lulu has developed the nasty flu virus that is doing the rounds right now and mine is trivial in comparison. If any of you are suffering I know it's a worrying time as often chesty coughs can make your chest tight and esp when ones nose is blocked also. Breathing exercises are near impossible so I used to put my tongue on the top of my mouth and my finger in the middle of my eyebrows(humour me lol)....hold for 20 seconds and it used to clear my nose!! Yes really. I'm not a fan of nasal sprays unless a simple saline one...i used to panic that I couldn't breathe and my anxiety would increase to a level that it didn't often get to. Lots and lots of rest helps, my mind wouldn't shut down so I know this won't help much but for some it does. I have been thinking of you all...tried to reply to what I could inbetween sneezing and coughing and looking after lulu. Now Ollie my son thinks he has it, I'm already sighing by the way...he needs medical attention for a paper cut so you know where I'm going with this...right?. Lulu needs fluids through a straw as she's lost the skin on her bottom lip so it's painful and Ollie comes running in with a tissue(you've got to picture this...6ft 6, built like a rugby player...yes?) ....and here he is handing me a tissue with what I can describe as....actually i cant describe it lol. What on eaaaarth I said. "Mum I'm really poorly look"..." at what sweetheart" he's looking at me as if I'm on another planet. "Look...im ill". No darling that sweetheart(as i popped my glasses on)..is your gum thats got mixed into the tissue so looks like a big mucus thingy. Ohhhh he says...but I do have a fever. I get it....honestly I do. You want some tlc, you haven't got a fever tho. So he announces he may just go to bed to 'prepare' for the inevitable bcas we have it. Oooookay, you do that then. I look around and realised lulu was smiling, she has such a croaky voice love her and she said "mummy hes such a tool isn't he but he makes me smile". Love them both. I went to him and offered him my infamous(cough) homemade chicken soup, he can't be that bad!!! He politely declined it(the cheeek!). He then mumbled, I've got cold I want to live though!. Kids hey!. Yes I've once again waffled about this and that but I really just wanted to say sorry for not being around and that I'm still here if you need a shoulder. I'll be back to 100% in no time. Janie hope your family gets well soon. Poor Lulu... & Ollie 😅... understand wanting love.... but he should not want this flu, as you know. I had it for like a week a month ago & my husband got it around the holidays..... not fun. Hope he doesn't get the flu..... Get better.

I'm sorry, sounds like it's not fun times at your house. I can imagion the comments for your ex.... my mom was a single parent. Hope everyone recovers quickly. We're doing better at our house.... hoping we're good for rest of this flu season. I work in a college town, so the kids also have some bug going around. Big hugs super woman💖
Thankyou lovely. Lulu went downhill again pretty quickly shortly after i was last on here. So I've been sat by her hosp bed 24/7 as her temps spiked and blood pressure gone thro the roof to dropping. This morning she looks better than ive seen her look since she caught this awful virus. Fingers crossed she's on the mend. Bcas her immune system is compromised she can't fight infections well..even with antibiotics so we have to hope her body goes into fight mode...it looks like it has. I commend the doctors and nurses here...absolutely amazing. I'm having my first break outside and will return shortly. Hugs to you...hope you are doing ok xx
How's Lulu doing? I hope she is doing better. Can't imagion what you guys are going through... sounds like she's in good hands. Remember to take little breaks, even if it's to go get tea or coffee at a nearby cafe or a short walk. We're here for you sweetheart... sending a whole lot of love & hugs.... ❤
Hi lovely. Sorry for the long delay in replying. She's not good, I thought she was brighter yesterday but her breathing is laboured. They are doing everything love them and yes shes in the right place...i just, I don't know...im struggling right now, you know?. I will her better with everything I have and everything I am. I'm not religious, never have been but for the first time in my adult life...i prayed. I don't know to who...i just asked for her to be ok. Sending you hugs...ill keep you updated. xxx
Janieliza I’m so sorry to hear lulu is not good. I understand where your coming from about the religious part. I’ve been very confused my whole life about religion, however I have always prayed especially when things are not so good. I do believe in miracles.

Janieliza, Now's the time to take care of "YOU".... pull out all the old remedies as well as the new ones that work. It's time for Janie to be pampered even if it comes from yourself. One day at a time. One week, seven days and hopefully things should get better. We pick each other up when one is down. You are never alone because we all care. Get well soon xx

That is so needed right now lovely...thankyou. virtual huggle right back. Managed to sit down for an hour whilst lulus settled. She did earlier when I posted but woke within minutes so up and down most of the morning...now properly settled I'm having a cuppa. xx
