My anxiety got the best of me today. I left work cause I thought I was going lose control.
I came home took .25 of Xanax and got some relief for about an hour or two until my heart started racing. Xanax has always been my saving grace when things get bad but now I am worried that the Xanax I took caused my heart to race. I made an appointment with the doctor in the morning. I am scared to death that I am not going to be able to enjoy life like I use too. This last week has been HELL.
Yes, anxiety sucks. I have it, too. My doc won't prescribe me xanax anymore, so I've been having to use the tools I've learned in therapy, like deep breathing, etc. It's difficult when the anxiety is bad. I know how it feels. I don't think the xanax caused your heart to beat faster, quite honestly. Anxiety in itself does that. I'm glad you are going to see your doctor. Let us know what he/she advises. Hope you are having a better day.
