I went back to my former Dr. and he is refusing to prescribe me the exact same combination that he wrote for me for years. Adderall + Ativan. Not a huge dosage. I am not a "red flag" patient... has anyone ran into this?

Adderall is an amphetamine. Ativan is a benzodiazipine.
Did you take another prescription for anything before you went back to your former doctor?
I can only think the doctor's clinical assessment of your current mental health status is the reason.
Taking any medication should be a joint decision between the patient and their doctor, so talking with the doctor some more about the how and why he/she has come to their decision is a good idea.
