My partner has anxiety

For the pass year my partner had been suffering with social anxiety, it's got to the point where he barely leaves the house and cannot work because of it. I'm really struggling to know what to do to help him, I'm so desperate for things to go back to how they use to be. I know this is probably a different kind of post but I really don't know what more I can do. He is on medication and visits a counsellor on a weekly basis. I want to know what I can do to help him, if anyone could share with me their experiences dealing with this or ways that their partners have helped them I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

Coming onto this site shows how much you want to help your partner. I did well for years but the past 6 months have been awful. I am thankful for my husband's support. I don't have a counselor but am on meds from my medical doctor. The meds weren't working and I was having major anxiety about going back to the doctor. My husband went with me and literally held my hand during my appointment. Have you considered going to one of his counseling sessions with him? Maybe there is something that will help but he isn't telling you. I know I feel guilty sometimes for the added stress on him which then adds to my anxiety causing more of the vicious cycle. Hopefully reading posts on this site will give you ideas on how to help your partner
