I'm new here, but maybe looking for some advice. I've lived with anxiety for as long as I can remember. I've tried so many medications and coping skills. Nothing works. Lately, it's too much to bare. It's terrifying to feel so out of control. The only way I can manage it is to sleep. I know that's not helping, but I don't know what else to do!

Hello. I want to help you work through this. I'm not sure if there's like a Msgr part for this site so I'd like to know exactly what you think about when that happens so I can be more specific with my help.
Anxiety never really goes away. We just learn to cope with it better. I have said this on other posts-- it is important to accept it as part of who you are and its ok. I have had it for many years myself and sometimes its really bad and sometimes its just annoying. Its hits us hardest when we are weak. I think what I want you do today is to accept it as part of who you are! Dont be afraid of it! Acknowledge it exists and put it in your existence. Next find ways to cope with it.. maybe a walk, maybe medication, maybe cold water, breathing.. whatever makes you feel better. When you get to that stage when you are more relaxed realize-- you are going to be ok. You dont have to control it, but you do have to manage it. I hope this helps!
