Going crazy?

I was in the hospital recently for dehydration, where I found out I am only 92 pounds. I am an 18 year old female around 5 foot 3 inches. Ever since then I am having trouble eating without feeling nauseated and all I can do is cry. I am so worried about being anorexic it's making me cry and cry. Am I going crazy? This has also been giving me panic attacks.

No you're not going crazy... you're just worried and it's causing the attacks. Have u seen a doctor about not being able to eat properly they might have some vitamins or something that can help

My GP gave me Atarax to take when required. They reduce the anxiety and improved my appetite. They are not addictive, they are an antihistamine ! Can take one at night to help u sleep. Due to bouts of anxiety, I cannot eat through day. I take an Atarax at bed time, I read my book, then I feel hungry, so I'm munching cereal during the night. X

Try not to think about being "anorexic" as being anorexic is a choice, and you are NOT choosing that. Definitely go to the doctor and see what they have to say. You could be working yourself up so much that you're too upset to eat.

Hi Carrie, it sounds like full blown anxiety. The smell of food can make me physically ill when I have a bout of anxiety. Perhaps if you can work with your gp on getting the anxiety sorted, your appetite may improve and you want feel so scared to eat. You will come through this the other side 💕 x one small step at a time.

I just want to make a correction that being anorexic is not a choice. Just as suffering from depression isn't a choice, having disordered eating isn't a choice as well.

However, I would be honest with your doctors and counseling team to see what's causing your weight loss. Could be a number of physiological or psychologist reasons as to why your weight has decreased and you're appetite is low.
