Hello, I am almost 52 and was diagnosed with depression and anxiety 7 months ago but know I have had both for a while. I am struggling even though I am on meds, stress from children, work and common law husband make me not want to go home after work and not want to go to work in the morning. Along with that we just moved into a home that has no room for my things so they are in storage. I am trying as many things as I can with aroma therapy, yoga, sound therapy and if anyone has any more ideas I would love to hear them.

Hi I'm 54 & I understand your struggle. Maybe if you tried to get rid of the things in storage that you really don't need, it would release some of the resentment you feel about your stuff not fitting into your home. Next, write a letter to your spouse telling them how they could be helpful. Keep it positive so they don't take it badly. Start a hobby or pick up an old one & do it as soon as you get home & when you get up in the morning, so you'll look forward to coming home. Watch "The Essentialist" or anything on downsizing you living space. It may make you feel better or give you ideas about your own space. Lastly, meditation will give you quiet time and a mental break from you kids. Hope it helps!
I am trying to downsize and get rid of the things that I don't need, I want to sell as much as I can to pay my student loan debt which is another stress. I love to bake and sew and those are the things that I can't find a place for. My kids are 18 and refusing to talk to me after she left home (drugs) and my 27 year old with her 30 year old fiance that are both unemployed and living with us. I have a room that will be used for meditation and yoga as soon as it is emptied from the move. Thanks for the ideas.
