Do any of you experience physical symptoms from your anxiety such as chest pain or pain in your arms and legs? My dr thinks my symptoms are anxiety related but I'm scared something else is wrong.

Yes. Physical pain can be part of anxiety symptoms. However you should look into chest pain. That can be so many things.

I was taking anafranil with the Prozac and doing pretty well so my dr had me ween off of it because she thought it was causing weight gain. Then my anxiety got bad again so we upped the Prozac dose. I'm hoping that will help

When I have panic attacks, I think I'm having a stroke or a heart attack. My blood pressure goes out of sight, my vision gets blurry, I feel like I can't swallow or breath, my chest hurts, I have tingling in my limbs and I have sweaty hot flashes. Before I sought out a psychiatrist, I went to many specialists from cardiology to neurology to ENTs. None of them could fined any thing physically wrong with me. So yes, anxiety disorders due manifest physical symptoms!

Thank you! Is it normal to still have some of those symptoms just from the anxiety, even if you aren't having a panic attack?

Yes! Anxiety is an exhausting disorder and when your body is over stressed, you can have all kinds of symptoms that mimic other health issues. Of course, it wouldn't hurt to get checked out if this is causing you a lot of stress.

Yep. If I didn't know what was going on when I have a panic attack, I'd probably think I was having a heart attack. I have chest pains, shortness of breath, numbness in my

hands, feet, and lips. It's scary! But I would certainly get checked out to make sure that's all it is.
