I had surgery last November and was doing well. But anxiety kicked in around March, and it's been a bit of a struggle since. I'm seeing a psychologist, and have taken xanax occasionally. I just started taking Wellbutrin. I must say that I have suffered with free floating anxiety for much of my adult life. The most difficult part for me is upon waking up in the morning with generalized fear. I have been walking 2-3 miles a day on my treadmill and taking saunas, and that seems to help. Has anyone experienced this, or can anyone share any experience they've had with Wellbutrin? Thanks

I took Wellbutrin for a while a few years ago for depression. It's one of the older depression/anxiety meds. It didn't help much for my depression and anxiety wasn't even on my radar at the time. That came later ;). But, I do have a relative who is on it for depression and it works great for her.

Different people respond to meds in different ways depending on their body and brain chemistry.

It will take about 4-6 weeks for you to really start to feel any difference. Give it a while and keep talking to your psychologist. If you don't see any improvement after 6+ weeks, talk to your doctor about trying something else.
