Hello, I don't know if I this is something everyone experiences but..

Every time I'm alone I start over thinking everything. If I have a presentation coming up I worry about it all the time and think about all the bad things that can happen. A few weeks ago I had a interview for an internship. I just couldn't stop thinking about it and I was so scared that I just didn't want to do it. I totally blew the interview. I just have a very hard time socializing with new people. I'm always thinking about what they think about me and I'm worried about embarrassing myself. No matter how hard I try I can't stop thinking. I can never sleep because of these thoughts. I always feel like my friends are gonna leave me and I just keep pushing them away so they can't hurt me. I made some mistakes in the past that I regret. Every mistake I made just keeps replaying in my head over and over again and I just want it to stop. I just want my brain to shut up. I don't know if this is anxiety or just something everyone experiences. Can someone help me? Thank you

Avi321 hi I've have experienced the same exact thing. I just keep going over things and trying to figure things out. I wind up shutting down and not moving. I keep thinking everyone is going to leave me like they have in the past. I had a friend recently say I changed and haven't talked to her since. The one thing I know is try to get meds that will help you have your energy back and your mind stop . It isn't something we can do alone and not having support sucks. I know .you feel alone inadequate can't articulate words causing more frustration . Please known your not alone and there are people who care . Please continue to reach out and talk ok . Anytime you want to talk . Here I am ok . I'll be here to listen .

Hi Avi,

I have had the same issues. However in the past few years I have made a friend who has similar experiences to me and it has been extremely helpful to have someone who understands and who I can really rely on. Are there activities or people that help you get out of your head?

may I suggest you go see a psychiatrist or better yet. NeuroPsychiatrist for help. Sometimes when our minds start doing its own thing no matter how much we try to regain control, it means it is time to get help.

This does sound like anxiety, most people have anxiety before events like job interviews and exams. However if it lasts beyond that and even the thought of meeting people make you anxious then it's time to take action. The thoughts you have that won't go away are called intrusive thoughts. You need to calm your mind. Breathing exercises and mindfulness will help. Recogognising the thought and saying that it's intrusive before letting it go. I found that taking regular exercise helps as it releases good chemicals into the body. You can beat this and there is help out there. Best of luck to you
