Hello everyone, I'm Briana from Wisconsin I'm 28 years old and have been dealing with Anxiety and Major Depression for about 7 years now. There are a long, long list of unfortunate events that led me to where I am today. I'm on 2 anti-depressants, lithium for depression as well, not for bipolar and Xanax. Nothing seems to be working, it will for a few months then go down hill again. Every time I see my doctor he just keeps prescribing me yet another medication to add to the list. I'm so sick and tired of taking so many medications when I feel like none of it's working. So frustrating, I am lost on what to do...

You mentioned a long list of unfortunate events. Have you been able to explore and talk about these with a professional?

I've been trying for years. I tried talking to two therapists, neither one really clicked with me. I also took a Cognitive Therapy class, which helped a bit but I was the youngest in the class so it was a little hard to relate with people. I would like to try again, but there's a 6month waiting period to get in :(.

Does your anxiety stay under control with the medication - can you relate what occurs to trigger the anxiety

Yes and no. I guess I have my good days and bad days. I get pretty bad anxiety before bed when I lay down and think about everything in my life...which then leads to sleeping problems.
