Fast weight gain in recovery + extrem hunger.

I've been recovering since December 03.

The first 2 weeks I've got horrible edema around my thighs when I started eating again. It went away after 10 days and I was like looking before. After that, everything did goes down... I decided to go all in since 17 December and extrem hunger came back like crazy!! I'm talking about 4000+ calories. Mostly carbs. The edema came back on my thighs and upper arms, hips and face.

Now it's 9 January and I can't fit in any of my clothes again. It's like I got from UW to NW in just 3 weeks.... It's so scary how fast I'm gaining. Well, no wonder because I've been eating like 4000+ calories and I was mostly sleeping....

I used to live of 400 calories + 16.000 steps everyday...

It's like all the fat is going to my thighs and butt and face...

Why I'm gaining soooo fast .... I'm scared I will end up obese.... Also this God damn extrem hunger drives me nuts....

Does anybody else has experienced a very fast weight gain?

I found that when I started putting weight on it went on my hips and legs first and fast but your body should eventually adjust and find a weight it is happy at. Good luck with the rest of your recovery

usually weight seems to pack on to hips, legs and stomach area - but it does redistribute in time. If you've undernourished for some time your body tends to crave food - and I found I had extreme hunger to start with - but it did settle down once my body realised it wasn't going to be starved again. Suggest you write out a meal plan - with professional dietician if possible - that way things will get more under control and you'll be eating the nutrition you require - but do get some support with this.
