Can’t breathe?

I have Anorexia with binge/purge subtype, and restrict regularly 200 - 400 cals and purge nearly everyday.. And starting three days ago, I found it hard to take deep breaths? Every now and then o can take a deep breathe but then it gets hard and heavy.. does anyone else experience this? And do you think it’s serious?

I went to the er and they said it seemed like Costochondritis and that my breathing and heart rate was fine.. so maybe I’m making it worse with anxiety and stress?

Suggest you need to go to your GP and have a full check out. Eating this low calorie intake and binge/purging daily can lead to many physical problems - so do please go and get a full check out - including bloods as your body may be very deficient in certain vital vitamins and minerals.

crazy cross stitcher has made a sensible suggestion which I think you should take

I also think you should practice breathing throughout the day the more you do it the better you will get at it

Breathe in through your nose filling your lungs with as much air as you can, expand your ribs to accommodate the air then hold it for as long as you can.then breathe out through your mouth slowly with pursed lips

Do this a few times every day

I had the same when i was at my very lower weight but it was anxiety yes. And because i was so thin that my nerves were torn against my ribs (don't know how to explain this properly)

One night it was so intense that i thought that was the end for me and i was doing a heart attack. Fortunatly i was at my parents this night. I ask my dad to call an ambulance but he manages to decrease my stress and it was okay after it.

But girl i need to say it to you. You are dying. Please do take this seriously. I was in the same case. It is really hard to get into recovery, i know... But it is à necessary
