When my fiance yells at me I don't eat. When I eat I wonder why, after all these years I'm use to be starved , I feel guilty about eating as well

Hello, Sorry about your struggle. Eating is not only something that we have to do to survive but is also form of self care. When your fiance yells at you there could be a couple of reasons why you do not eat... the first is probably because you are upset, which upsets your whole being and your appetite. Secondly maybe because you feel whatever he is saying to be true so you believe it and use not eating as a form of "self punishment" for those feelings. When you feel this why, try to recognize what your internal dialogue is at that moment. What are you saying to yourself. Is it positive? Probably not as a lot of us struggle with positive self talk but it is something that you can slowly turn into a habit and refuse the negative self talk. Like literally say out loud that that is not true and speak the truth about yourself. And if you don't know the truth about yourself, learn that and if it is not what you want it to be, try to make the change to be able to speak that truth. It is a lot of work but YOU ARE WORTH IT. And just like any other person on this earth, you are allowed to eat food without guilt. It is every persons human right and a gift. So you don't feel guilty about what you eat... try to make healthier choices. But also so that you know that you can, enjoy and indulge in whatever it is that you desire that you feel is "bad" so that you know that you can every once in a while and that you will still survive. And try to fight the guilt afterwards. Just take a slow moment to yourself and feel those thoughts and feelings and tell yourself that you are OK and this is normal. Praying for peace and freedom for you.
