Hi everyone. I am new here and I have a few questions. I don't want to sound dumb or anything but I think I have anorexia but I don't meet the weight or BMI requirements to be considered "sick". I have lost 10 lbs in 10 days and I am continuing to loose weight. How do I know if I am "sick" enough to get help. I also have been sleeping like crazy. I got 11 hours of sleep then I got up and ate a grapefruit then I was tired and slept for 4 more hours. That kind of makes me seem crazy doesn't it?

Hi Lizaloves. I'm not sure if you can see the same screen as me, but just above where I am typing, there is a text box that reads "Have you taken your needs assessment?" If you can see it, why not try that, to see what professionals think about what you're going through. Have you spoken to a Doctor or a counsellor? You may have an eating disorder, but you may just need some help to get yourself back on track. Try not to overthink things until you have been given some professional advice.

suggest you need to get to your GP - losing weight as quickly as you have could have a number of causes - may be an ED - may be physical - so do get checked out. This weight loss rate is also not healthy - nor is only eating a grapefruit - no wonder you are sleeping such a lot. If you are questioning whether or not you have an ED - try the ABC website - they have loads of useful info there.
