Hey so last year I had a real bad time with my ED, I had to take time off work and the doc put me on Fluoxetine and I had to go to counselling. I stopped going and stopped taking my meds when I thought I was better. I’m so worried that it’s starting to get bad again. Any ideas on how to keep the demons away???

Thanks

Sounds like it is sneaking back in and that you need help not so much from drugs but a meal plan and help sticking to it

Suggest you return to those who helped you before - from experience thinking we can or should be able to deal with our ED alone doesn't work - we need help - just as any illness needs a doctor and treatment - so does your ED - and I know counselling is hard and tough - but it really is worth sticking with because - from experience again - not dealing with all the issues around the ED is just putting a plaster on the surface and letting the real problem get worse below - so please do seek help.

I second the others advice regarding the counselling. It is hard and can be an emotionally painful process but our behaviours stem from our deeply ingrained thought patterns and beliefs, and we need to not only tap into those subconscious beliefs but change them. Otherwise we will forever be trapped in this cycle.
