What is ABC? All the comments I’m reading say “ABC has a confidential phone line” and stuff like that but what’s ABC? I’m in the U.S. Is it some sort of UK thing or have I just not heard of it?

Its a UK based charity that supports those with eating disorders and their carers as well as providing training and advice to other health professionals and being an advocate to get more help and treatment for those with eating disorders. It has a confidential phone line for sufferers, careers etc as well as offering a befriending service. Suggest you visit their website for further info. I find them a great help and support as someone who is a long term anorexic and "older" than a lot of those with the illness.
