Weight loss and no appetite

Hello! I used to be anorexic, but than I went to a healthy weight. Now I lost few kilos without any trying and by BMI is 17.5. I understand that I should eat, but have a very low appetite. I afraid to loose more and become anorexic again. What would you recommend me in my situation?Thank you in advance.

  • Hello, I do not understand exactly what your position is because I am bullimic and not anorexic but I can relate to the lack of appetite as it is something I struggle with too. I just try and force myself to eat regulary even if I do not feel hungry. Or eat foods high in calories that are low in volume or weight like nuts. Also, an idea that may work is drinking beverages high in calories. Also, go to your GP if you haven't already. Hope this helps.

  • Sometimes its a mind game re feeling full/not hungry when - but suggest you try eating higher calorie foods eg cheese, fruit cake - you can eat smaller amounts but still put in the calories. Snacking on peanuts/dried fruit can also help.
