Get to your GP and ask for an ED referral - I know from bitter experience that the cycle gets out of control very quickly and always thinking you can stop it alone isn't the answer. Its an illness and like any other illness needs treatment. ABC also have a helpful website and support line which might help you. I do so hope you get the help you need and fully recover.

Do not eat alone, and if you have to because you have nobody to eat with, prepare a certain amount of food for you to eat, an amount that you wouldnt consider binging, and put it in a tapperware and go eat ouside (do no take money with you), where you cannot eat more and you cannot throw up.

I know it will be veeeery difficult but if you go to eat to a park, for example, life there is too stong that you'll want to live. With this I mean that you should look at people, how simple their lives seem to be, look at kids and how happy they are with the simplest things, look at old people and see how they are happy with a body they are slowly losing control of.

Look at everyone and see you can be as happy or as unhappy as any of them, but it depends only on you. (And quite often on a chemichal imbalance in your brain, and until that is fixed you will keep on feeling the need to binge... )

the point is that while you are thinking all this, you wont be thinking of eating more or throwing up. And do this every time you need it.

There are other options, there are more ways, but the ultimate idea is keeping your mind busy with beautiful and hopeful things.

Oh no. Perhaps try some positive psychology practices?

At first, when I was introduced to them, I thought this won't help.

However, I definitely feel happier after trying some of them.

Maybe trying to express your feelings through drawing or art or something?

Hang in there. Good luck! I hope that you don't hurt yourself and that you are able to get to a better place.

Keeping a diary recording your binges and try to trace what your binge triggers are. Being tired, stressed, coming home, being alone, being hungry, being bored, certain foods, preparing meals, late at night, certain people or conversations. Recognise the patterns/habits and think about how you can plan to manage or avoid them.

I understand how cripplingly depressing bingeing cycles are. It was my motivation to try and stop. I found writing about how it make me feel as well as recording triggers really helpful.

Writing is generally useful - bingeing is often so compulsive and frantic and almost unconscious, writing helps me slow down and be more aware of what is happening.

Once you start making small breaks in the habit things start getting better, and it becomes easier to make even bigger changes.
