Hi, my daughter is learning to eat again and is doing very well, however she is suffering with nausea, stomach cramps and bloating

What coping stategies have other's used to get them through this rough time?

Hello Cloudspassby :) The nausea was gross (Im still affected by it) walking it off helps me, so does a giant burp?? Stomach cramps: well, these dissipate but are frighteningand painful. Chewing food per mouthful around 20 times, does help. Think consistency of porridge. When food has been with held for so long the body doesn't digest it well and completely over reacts. I ate lots of "predigested" food, nutritious soups, yoghurt etc. The bloating: loose pants! Seriously :) Keep a food diary that records reaction to food, limit all that have a negative reaction. Bread was a really severe negative reaction for me, I can eat it now but limit it! An over the counter medicine called "Degas" was a great help but an absolute last resort. Hope this might help you both. Good Luck :)
