Paroxetine/Paxil

Does anyone have any experience with Paroxetine/Paxil? I was prescribed it many weeks ago and am starting to think I may need to take it, despite my reluctance. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi summerstorm!

I tried Paxil but it didn't work for me. Zoloft is what I take now but we are all different. It really helped me in my recovery so I highly recommend at least giving it a try. Good luck!

Why were you prescribed it? It works for me without any side effects.

Paxil didn't work for me personally but Wellbutrin does. My mother was on Paxil and she was helped by it. Staying committed to taking the medication for a month or so to try to see it starts to work. It can take awhile to start working. Unless you have really bad reactions of course! Hope you are feeling better.

i've been on paxil for approx. 9 years and have had no negative side effects, thank heavens.
