Male Kegel Exercises

Kegel muscles support the pelvic floor and are also part of sexual activity.

Yes, males have them too.

I started 6 months ago. My urinary incontinence is improved but not cured. My ability to orgasm and the intensity has improved.

I won’t go into how to do this. Google “male kegel exercises”. This is not safe for work because it will also pull up adult sites if you do not have filters turned on.

It has taken the full 6 months to get where I am. It is hard to get the exercises right. The good news is, it is not a strenuous routine and I do it all day long.

Not only is it strengthening muscles, it is rebuilding the connection between the brain. I have better control.

Let me know if you have done this.

Females can also do this.

Interesting post and thanks for giving us your experience with this. I knew about pelvic floor exercises but I had never looked further into this.

A quick Google also suggests many gizmos that you can purchase to assist and/or to measure how well this may be working. Do you use any such devices, or do you simply do the exercises by themselves?

Nice post, I was reading about this a few weeks ago as well.

It was on my (long) list of self improvement exercises to begin. Thanks for the reminder.

Here is a Mayo Clinic link:

mayoclinic.org/healthy-life...

And here is a decent howto:

medicalnewstoday.com/articl...

And here is a scientific report:

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/161...

Here is the pertinent bit- After 6 months, blind assessment showed that 40% of men had regained normal erectile function, 35.5% improved but 24.5% failed to improve.

A friend with prostate cancer was recommended by a nurse to do these exercises to help his bladder control. Worth a try, cannot urinate, p*ss myself, cannot maintain erection, cannot orgasm. Good for the lot.

Not just us lot, but likely half the western world has weakened pelvic floor muscles. All that sitting down, bad food, booze, et al.
