Cialis for urinary issues?

Hello everyone!

I've been wanting to ask this question for a little while, and since I have a urology appointment coming up, I thought it a good time. I have heard, anecdotally, that Cialis is a helpful medication for managing detrusor sphincter dyssynergia (basically the neck of the bladder not opening well to release urine). I have to push down on my bladder with my fingers to be able to fully empty my bladder any time I urinate.

Both my urologist and another man with AMN I know have mentioned that there is some evidence that Cialis may open up the bladder neck to assist in emptying. My urologist is willing to prescribe it to me, but there are no large scale medical studies of the medication for this express purpose. And I certainly don't want to add another medication to my regimen, unless there is good evidence that it will work.

I don't have issues with erectile dysfunction at this time, so I've never taken a medication of this type. Anything else concerning this drug that I should be aware of? Has anyone else had experience with Cialis assisting with urinary issues? Thank you!

It helps me a lot. I dont have regular urinary problems (I can go ok and feel empty) but with the cialis I can urinate much faster and easier like it was meant to be. I'm prescribed 5mg a day.

Yeah, there is something in what you are saying. That is about as much as I can contribute.

On Cialis, and Viagra, I feel it all over my body. There were cases years ago, men were seeing everything with a blue tint. I forget the whole thing, but basically if you take too much, it effects something or other in your eye.

I don't have serious urinary issues, but I have plenty of Cialis, I'll run an experiment and see.
