AMN HELP

I am trying to find help for my AMN I was diagnosed when I was 21 and now that Im 40 it has progressed much. I want to ask if anyone has information about doctors or treatment centers in Mexico , which is where I live now. I cant find a neurologist with AMN experience.

We can all understand your situation being somewhere where there is limited understanding about AMN. AussieBob's advice is good. You should go to the centres probably in the US where they may have regular contacts to medical centres in Mexico. Try Kennedy Krieger as well. Unfortunately you may have to do some digging on your own.

Do keep in touch with us on this forum. We are here to support you. Remember that with AMN, the medical profession doesn't have a huge amount to offer us wherever you live. Let us know your main difficulties and perhaps we can help here.

Thank you all for the helpful information, I think I will travel to Maryland in the US to see the Kennedy Kreiger institute.

That's a good plan. Looks like you are making progress. Please let us all know how you got on. If you can travel, remember we have a meeting in the U.K. next year (2016) where you can meet many of us. We will keep everyone posted about this when we have a date.
