Hey everyone i am 36 yrs old was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in feb of 2015 went through chemo and radiation had a really hard time with all of that was car for about 6 months then found-out in jan of 2017 it reoccurred in the same area chemo was-out of question cause it made me healthy ill and i was always getting hospitalized so we did radiation and immunotherapy then recently on feb 2018 was told that because of radiation and chemo i have some carinal nerves that are damaged and that alotofthe nervesbwere being pushed by the selling in that area so i had to go on steroid and they don't wrk well with the mechemo and immunotherapy they were giving me so they said best decision is yo stay with the steroid cause at least that would allow me not to continue being hospitalized and the treatments hadn't done much to tumor so was told to live life travel get my affairs in order most horrible news i could get especially sincei have a beautiful son who is only 5 well thats my story joining groups to meet people in similar situations and just talk about whatever

I am so sorry that you are going through all of this.
Try to remember that none of us have an expiration date stamped on our foreheads, and Drs are human just like the rest of us, they are not gods.
Besides, the medical community makes new discoveries all the time. Please keep fighting, don't give up.
Thank u i believe that miracles are out there so i do hold out for hope that they will find something new to try on me for now just living one day at a time

hello i was considered stage 4 with my forst diagnoses in feb 2015 it had in bedded itself in to some of the skull near my brain and had also gone to the lymph nodes i did a very hard core chemo would have two differemt kinda on friday and bring the third one home for the weekend but i began to get sick had to be put in a feeding tube thats when they decided radiation with chemo once a week for 35 sessions after that my scans showed clear about 5 months later things just didnt feel right that is when scan showed reoccurrence of tumor so chemo was out of questiom cause it made me sick everytime then we did immuniotherapy and radiation that wasnt working cause cauaed alot of danage to nerves so now i am only taking steriods and hoping for a clinical trual or miracle comes my eay and in the mean time i am enjoying planning trips don’t ng things i have always wanted to do i wish ur girlfriend the best and if she ever needs to talk or urself reach out im here
