K2 and D both need fat for absorption. I take D with breakfast and K2 with my evening meal for that reason, just in case there isn't enough fat in one meal.

I’m so confused. 😟. I’ve heard take both in the morning, which I do, usually before breakfast 😳. Ugh.

which vitamin c do you take

i take swansons vitamin C as ascorbic acid 500 mg. I cut in half and take it with my calcium that I take 2 times a day. If you research this, it is so interesting how this improves absorption with other things as well

They work with each other, so that's why some people take them together, but the half-life of D is quite long so will be in your blood still when you take the K2, plus if you take K2-MK7 that has a long half-life too.

Also think about taking absorbic acid with meal when taking these supplements as the Vit-C helps improve absorption tremendously.

I have Parkinsons and am taking medication and supplements for that also. A CT scan showed a compression fracture at L2 last July that they say is healed based on an xray in November.??? I am working with a ND and a Functional med dr. and chiropractor who recommend strength training, diet ,exercising ,vibration plate. I am not on any osteoporosis medications now. My dexa scan showed osteoporosis and the PCP and rheumotologist suggest Fosamax. I watched the 2 Youtube mentioned above and plan on getting the book and possibly getting in touch with DR. Pete McCormick, if i can. He also recommends getting baseline testing then follow up testing in 3 to 6 months. I found the information interesting and helpful. I am trying to get as much info as I can before I start on medication for osteoporosis. The exercises for Parkinson's involve twisting and big movements. I am having some trouble finding a PT experienced in both. I pray alot.

I live in Pittsburgh ,PA. I hope some of this information is helpful and I am looking forward to responses from others.

Kale eaten at least 4x a week is great for VIt K . It can be mixed in salads, soups, dips ect. I was not particularly fond of Fresh kale however have learned new recipes and Is now part of my daily menu.

Kale is great but there's a new concern about carcinogenic pesticides on most kale: ewg.org/foodnews/kale.php --- Do you have access to organic kale in your local food store?

Yes, thanks for reminding us all of this. I did forget to mention pesticides caution with any vegetables you are eating. I automatically do this as I am a kidney transplant patient .. it's quite difficult as many people can't afford organic vegetables... must investigate to determine if is there is some method by which carcinogenic pesticides can be eliminate or where vegetable we purchase are 100% certifiable organic. . I live in Nj and awe have quite a few certified organic farms which is not a problem yet other in other parts of the country we may have difficulty. Wonder if there is frozen organic kale? We are lucky that we have a gourmet store called Wegmans and Whole Foods and thy pretty much stock everything : of course, you will pay a premium price. If anyone has family who ask what you want for birthdays, holidays. a gift card to buy what we need to stay healthy is so useful. Good luck to all. I do know washing veggies/ fish and fruit in water with vinegar will kill bacteria, pesticides probably not as they are chemicals. Upstate also has quite a few of organic farms. Many are cooperative farms.

I take Thera Cal which has calcium, Vit K2, Magnesium, Vit D which I need. I take it on empty stomach or with some fat, no caffiene or a lot of iron in meal. Took some tweaking since I didn't know about what minerals bind others early on.
