Cat purring sounds for osteoporosis?

I'm seeing articles saying Russian athletes use a machine called "The Purr" with the sound of a cat purring at 50 Hz to strengthen their bones. Also seeing other articles speculating that purring sounds might be an osteoporosis treatment. YouTube has a lot of videos of cats purring - some as long as 8 hours, and it's easy enough to play these on our computers while we're working. Sounds intriguing and I wonder if any of you have had experience with this.

No but for me it sure beats bisohosphonates. I’m off to investigate Met00’s link and a few purring apps.

Actually, thinking about it having read the article I wonder if it is the vibrations rather than the sound - it could be a similar effect to those vibration plates you see advertised
