Hi everyone,

I am a 65 year old man with osteoporosis. I found out I had osteoporosis after I broke my wrist three years ago. Recently, I've been having popping and cracking in my hip for the past few days. Should I consult my doctor for this?

You might be experiencing osteoporosis of the hip, which could be a serious condition where the femur is weakened. The causes are not known, but it increases the possibility that the bones will break. If you are experiencing pain when you are putting a lot of weight on your hips and/or it is getting more severe, you should consult a physician immediately. Although osteoporosis cannot be cured, your physician can recommend treatments and/or lifestyle changes to manage your osteoporosis to ensure that you maintain good bone health.
