Recent Memory

I sometimes become concerned about my recent memory. I am 66 years old and am finding myself to be forgetful such as where did I put something, did I let the dog out, or did I put a certain ingredient in the cake that I am making. This seems to be of fairly recent onset. I was a medical office assistant for my entire working career and was required to be fast, with a good memory. Where did that go?

Hi Marilynk,

Welcome to the community. The concerns you describe broadly fall into the category of "senior moments", and if you're now retired (or semi retired), the medical office environment that exercised your memory skills every day is missing!

You may also want to look at the "Pinned Posts" to the right -- the post on normal age related memory performance might be of some value.
