I just turned 19 and I am now taking finasteride. Not sure if I’m dealing with the side effects or it’s just all in my head?

In high school I notice my hair had been thinning out excessively. By the time I turned 18 and graduated I notice some recession. So when I told my dermatologist about this he offered me finasteride. He told me there were some harmful side effects to it such as erectile dysfunction. But that only 1% get this and it is pretty rare. So I took it... but I’m barely been on it for a week and I think about this a lot. There are days where I can hold an erection and there are days where I can’t. And when I do hold an erection it doesn’t last too long. I don’t know if it’s just me (like all in my head) or if finasteride is already affecting me. This morning I did wake up with morning wood though I don’t know if that’s important. I really don’t want this to affect my libido and cause permanent damage to it since I’m only 19. But at the same time I don’t want to be bald in my 20’s. Or go bald in general. Please help

Does the side effects go away overtime once the body gets use to it
