I discovered that I was allergic to glycols about ten years ago. The reactions are severe cystic acne, facial reddening, swelling, itching and pain of the skin, and it takes a month to heal from each outbreak. It barely takes any contact to start a reaction, and it always leaves scars. It seems that more and more RX are contaminated with glycols and it is very difficult to find a pharmacist that cares about checking for them. I do the checking myself, then when I ask them politely to order a brand without glycols that I've located, I am treated like the most bothersome person in the world and sometimes just sent away altogether. I am on my fourth pharmacy now in this local area. It seems incredible that medical professionals are unaware of this problem and that drug companies absolutely don't care either. It can be life threatening if there is literally no medication available that we can take for a condition.

Have you tried a compounding pharmacy? I imagine if you explain it to them then they'd be careful!

That's a last resort as they are very expensive and getting insurance to pay for it is a huge struggle. I don't have the highest income.
