Important news regarding having children without the ALD gene

In the past, there has been some doubt as to whether or not pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) will test both male and female embryos for the ALD gene. We can now inform you that the Human Fertilisation and Embryo Authority (HFEA) have confirmed that all ALD carriers should be offered the option to have both male and female embryos tested for the ALD gene.
