Hi, I'm fairly new here too. I was also diagnosed about 6 months ago. Reading everyone else's posts makes me realise that there are so many people out there who are suffering much more than I am. My pain is mainly at night and first thing in the morning and I find that tiredness is my biggest problem and certainly it exacerbates all the other symptons of FMS. My GP was determined to put me on antidepressants to begin with. I tried 3 different types and all of them made me so hazy I just couldn't function, so I refused to take them again and demanded ordinary painkillers. I am now taking a combination of co-codomol and paracetamol which I can swop around to cope with the amount of pain I have and, so far, it's working well and keeping things bearable. I am still learning to pace myself and to accept that I can no longer do the things that I once found so easy. Keep pestering your GP till you find analgesia that suits you. Good luck
