Based on current NHS treatments for ME, I have not wanted to get a diagnosis and then be pressured to do exercise therapy. However, I realise that I could be pressured to do exercise therapy for my Fibromyalgia. So far I have not been. I am severely affected, and mostly bed bound. I am certain that if I do not have ME, then I have some other serious undiagnosed condition. Finding a GP who is helpful and does not see both of these as psychological conditions seems almost impossible. I am lucky to be getting DLA and social services funding for carer hours every week.
