Long history of pvcs, afib and flutter. After multiple unsuccessful ablations, my EP gave me one choice, live with your arrhythmia and have an AV nodal ablation. Fortunately, I was introduced to Dr. Natale via website for pacemaker patients, an EP with prestigious credentials who practices out of St. David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas. I reached out to the hospital and was contacted the same day. I was told the doctor treats complicated patients and is not a fan of AV nodal ablations. After reviewing my chart he felt he could help and help he did. I traveled from PA to Texas for the ablation. He is a remarkable EP who practices at a level far beyond most EPs. For those with insurance who will approve it and have the access and wherewithal to access care from Dr. Natale, by all means you should do so.

That's wonderful news! And it's great that you didn't just accept your EP's two options, but rather went out and found a better one.

thanks for your post, I have paroxsymal afib for 1 year . Through dropping alcohol and caffeine i only have occurrence occassionaly when do either of the above. I would love to do ablation, but so far have not found many people who have had long term success after a ablation. Did your doctor give you any statistics on his outcomes for previous patients? In reading his bio he sounds very profecient and i would easily go there for treatment if has a great track record long term , Please let me know . I just don't want to start down the ablation path and then have one every couple years. Thanks
