hi all

I had a failed Cryoblation in March and now back in tomorrow for an RF ablation .

im naturally just as nervous as the 1st time and wish I could have full anaesthetic rather than just sedation again but hey ho time to man up and get on with it lol .

fingers crossed it works this time and I will let you all know how I get on

it’s at St Barts again so I’m in good hands

thanks

matt

Same here. Just on my way in for 2nd in less than 3 months as a cancellation came up. Also sedation only unfortunately. Last was GA and was wonderful. But as you say it is time to get my big girl pants on and I am grateful for the cancellation slot. X good luck with yours. X

Good luck. Had mine in Swansea!! 2 in 2 months, both without GA. You'll be fine, they will make it comfortable for you. Take the recovery slow and easy.

Good luck. I had my second ablation about 8 weeks ago which was also RF, The sedation seemed to be very mild this time but it made it a lot easier, I was in full conversation with the medics right through the procedure which only took about an hour. As usual it is out thoughts that play havoc and causes all the anxiety but once your in the Lab things just move along. All the best 👍

I had 2 in 2 months, so I can relate. For me, it was easier 2nd time around, knowing what to expect.Good luck with the recovery!!

Hi , my first cryo wasn't successful and I had to wait over 2 years for a follow up RF redo ablation which I had last week .The procedure this time was much more involved and I was given a GA as it took over 3 hours

There will always be nerves but ablations are now pretty routine so complications are rare thankfully.

So far after 9 days I'm AF free ,the bruising is starting to fade and I'm feeling like doing a bit of light walking to get a change of scene .

I'm not one for sitting around but understand the importance of not overdoing things so will listen to my body and take things slowly.

Best of luck for your procedure 👍

I do wish you success this time around and it's only natural to feel anxious. It will soon be over and then it's all about being patient with yourself and taking things very easy. Sending healing vibes your way.

Good luck to you. My RF ablation took care of a poorly done cryo ablation. Let us know your progress as you heal.

So after a 6 hour ablation ( is that a record ?) I’m on the ward and staying the night due to length of procedure

I feel fine just a bad back from laying still for 8 hours ,

Hopefully they have fixed it and get some res bite from our friend AF

Thanks for all the support

Matt
