Hi everyone, for those who have read my last two posts regarding the above I’m happy to tell you that since 6th July I’ve had no AF or ectopic beats, my BPM appears to go to a normal level 55/60 which is brilliant, went for my first short walk today (to hot for more lol) I felt very tired when I got home so spent the afternoon on my swing seat, I know it will be a slow recovery but I’m very optimistic at this stage and if it does go a bit pear shape I know it’s part and parcel of recovery, so, I thank you all who replied with your good wishes. Bless you all x

Be careful with exercise in this heat.

Hi, yes I will, the swing has a canopy so stay in the shade as much as I can and no more walks until heat temperature gets lower

Glad to hear it's going well. I'm now three weeks and two days past ablation, and apart from some runs of both AF and Tachycardia during the first couple of days, I'm also free of heart problems so far. Tuesday I managed 6500 steps during the day (been shopping), and after a short walk last night yesterday's score reached over 8000. Not 'back to normal' by any means, but it makes a change from sitting knitting or reading books. Keep resting in this heat ;-)

Gosh you are doing really well, well done. I’ve never read so many books lol not being a t.v person, hubby says with all the chit chat on the phone it’s a wonder I still can speak lol 😀

Thanks Lesley. My Fitbit, I'm sure, over counts my steps. Even something such as wiping a worktop with my left hand will rack up many 'steps' without me moving my feet. I will easily reach 4000 about the house in a day without going anywhere. So I reckon walking around a small supermarket (after driving there and back) adds quite a few. I think my walk yesterday evening at dusk was a little over doing it, but I wanted to do more than the previous day if I could.

Yes, it’s easy to overdo it without realising it, I have a withings smart watch and if it could count how many swings on the swing seat I do I think I could reach a few thousand in no time lol

Thank you, 3 weeks with no AF and hardly any ectopic beats, just a very sore chest and irritating cough but I can live with that lol

It will settle down. I had mine in 2016 and have been AF free since then and not on any medication. I do sometimes get ectopics but I think sometimes anxiety drives them so I distract myself or go for a quick paced walk and they go away. It’s about being in the right headspace too

Wow 5 years, that’s brilliant, I’m taking it really carefully, once the sore chest goes, still very tight will start pacing myself with walking
