Self converting to nsr

When I convert back to nsr my head feels strange like i’m going to faint. Anyone else had this happen

Sounds like your heart has a brief rest whilst re setting so you probably get pre-syncope. Not unusual.

Thank you. All the replies have helped calm my anxieties. I think my ep is thinking of doing a pacemaker.

As BobD says, quite common. Make sure you are sitting safely as you know this is likely

I had this problem some years ago and a Holter monitor showed that my heart was pausing for a few seconds when reverting from AF to normal rhythm. I had a pacemaker fitted which solved the problem and it hasn't happened since

Yes I get that its quite scary but a relief at the same time knowing I'm back in nsr

I had this problem and did start passing out. Had a pacemaker fitted and now no problem.

I have had this on the last two occasions I have had fast afib, it happened 10 days ago and I was lying down at the time, ringing in the ears and a strong feeling I was about to pass out, it was quite scary but I was relieved to be back in nsr, I might let my doctor know this has happened again.
