Hi everyone, been on Digoxin for a week or so and doc has upped my dose twice. I'm now taking 3 62.5 pills per day to find my right dose. My heart rate has gone from 130 to a low 55 so it's done the trick. My question is has anyone else had a very low heart rate on this drug. Beta blockers, tried 2 took my rate to just above 40 which made my usual 2 mile daily walk really difficult. I've read that Digoxin isn't prescribed much now and doc hasn't mentioned blood tests yet.

My relative aged eighty five was put on digoxin last week to bring his heart rate down from 110 bpm. He has afib and is also taking bisoprolol. He is to have a blood test this week to check his kidney function. He is sleeping a great deal during the day. Hope you get sorted.
