I started taking Edoxoban and Bisoprolol nearly 3 weeks ago after an episode of AF. I am 67 years old and have now started with vaginal bleeding, not heavy but I have read it can be a symptom of taking edoxoban. Has anyone else experienced this.

Vaginal bleeding Edoxoban
Being a bloke, my knowledge in this area is somewhat limited but I can offer some thoughts which might help. Anticoagulants in themselves are generally not the cause of bleeding, however if something else such as a cut or broken blood vessel causes a bleed, then it normally takes a little longer to stem the flow of blood. It is therefore important to establish the cause and this obviously would involve some form of medical intervention. I know that there are thousands of minute blood vessels in the male penis and is not uncommon for one or more to cause a problem and often they are not serious. I think you should contact your GP as soon as possible to have it checked out......
Thank you.
Hi
Any vaginal bleeding post menopause needs investigating, just to be on the safe side I would have thought.
Best wishes Ally
Speak with your doctor. I had the same problem on Apixaban (Eliquis) as well as other side effects so I was moved back into Xarelto. Edoxoban isn’t available in Australia so I can’t comment on that particular drug.
I take Apixaban and had the same issue earlier in the year. Being post menopausal, I saw my GP and it turned out I needed surgery for polyps. Always a symptom to get checked out just in case.
Regardless of your medication you need to get that checked by your GP, post menopausal bleeding should always be checked out, all the best
I’d go and get that checked out Bluehors . It could be the medication that’s doing it, but more likely not. Don’t panic though, it could be something very minor, as it was with me.
Thank you everyone who replied to my question I am now waiting for a pelvic scan.
