Have paroxysmal afib. Meds only as needed at moment. Need an anti inflammatory for chest wall pain after congestion. Any ideas?

All NSAIDs are not to be used as these can promote AF and also affect antcoagulation so may cause interenal bleeding. Speak to your doctor about pain medication.

Thanks Bob. What I thought. Gp said that if the paracetamol didn’t get rid of the inflammation, ibuprofen was necessary. Got this problem because he let cough go on too long untreated!

What are your views on creams like voltarol? Appreciate your advice

My GP told me that topical creams used sparingly should be OK as so little was absorbed into the blood stream.

my GP told me likes of Volterol are OK and my pharmacist confirmed it when I bought some. Nice to see consistency..

Astragalus or Resveratrol work for me. If you take Paracetamol it’s best taken everyb 4 hours to have any inflammatory affect. I would avoid all NAAIDS, as Bob says.
