Yes, I would guess it could well be that keeping you awake at night and causing your AF.

Can you smell lots of chemical fumes coming from your new mattress? When I had my new bed a couple of years ago that's what I had and I couldn't sleep in it for a few weeks and had to move to the spare room.

Like new carpets. Some very odd chemicals leach out for quite a while. Everybody loves that "just new " smell don't they?

I hate that newly bought smell on furnishings Bob. As well as that, new things never appear to be made as well these days!

nice to see you back Bob. It doesnt smell at all but I just cant get comfy. Could it be the lack of sleep ? 4 days now . How long to leave it before contacting my doctor ?

Did you buy new pillows as well, if so, could it be them? Is the bed firmer or softer than your last one. Lack of sleep can have a great effect on AF. Do you have a thickish blanket or another duvet you can put over the mattress to see if that helps?

We have an iron bed and a very thick mattress (presumably with lots of coil springs) and with no evidence I think there is some interaction re electricity of the heart/aerial effect - going back some years now I hadn't had AF and went back into this bed and woke up 3 hours later with AF. Needless to say since then I have slept in a bed with a wooden frame and a thinner mattress - no problem.

More likely it’s the lack of sleep.

I solved it by using a spare quilt as a mattress protector.Long time ago now.
