Just today I read a post that says there is no Antidote for Pradaxa but doing more Research, I found out that there is. That lessened my worry a bit about taking it.

There is indeed Naranjo.

However not all hospitals hold this drug as far as I`m aware. May I suggest you contact your nearest hospital to see if they have it. If not they will be able to tell you the nearest hospital that would be able to administer it (should you ever need it in an emergency).

I could be wrong but it`s worth checking.

Best,

Paul

Reversal agent better describes these things . Antidote refers to something to stop poison working. It is pretty academic anyway since there has always been a way to deal with most bleeding incidents short of accidental amputation or serious similar trauma which in any event would be life theatening unless you were close to a hospital.

I know that this is often a concern to people but with the very short life of DOACs such as Pradaxa it honestly shouldn't be a reason to worry.

I ws prescribed this and told by the stroke doc that there was an antidote for Pradaxa, if not I wouldn't have taken it for the past couple of years.

Yes there’s been a reversal agent for over a year now.
