Has anyone experienced side effects with this drug?

I have been taking Diltiazem CD 240mg for nearly four years . I take it with Flecainide 50mg . What works for me is probably different to what is recommended in that I take Flecainide on an empty stomach half an hour before I take Diltiazem then have breakfast.

If I take the two together I feel a bit nauseous, keeping them separate is ideal for me.

I know it was the Flecainide not the Diltiazem that created nausea , supposedly the Diltiazem CD is slow release over 24 hours , I havent had any event I could say was caused by it alone.

I take 360 mg of Dilitiazem every morning with breakfast with no apparent side effects . Also take low dose Digoxin and half an Olmesartan. I am in persistent AF and these drugs keep my rate under control and I feel no symptoms. I guess everyone reacts differently to drugs

I recently was prescribed Dilitiazem, but only took s couple of doses. As Bob says, it made me feel really awful. I stopped and consulted my GP.

Yes , it’s a calcium channel blocked , made me feel really yuk , dizzy , tired and put weight on even without eating , was on it for two weeks for svt just recently and had to come off it , now going for ablation on Monday , so hopefully won’t need any anti arrhythmia drugs anymore , what are you taking it for ?

Yes! Makes me weak and shaking in the morning after taking it. I'm only on 120mg.

I am prescribed two 240mg capsules 1 every 12 hours. Yes! I have weird symptoms. Lower tract / stomach feels tight when I take it. My ankles swell, headaches, and I get some skin discolorations. I'm working my way off this bad boy but it DOES keep my heart rate lower, so I've been trying 1 240mg each day which helps reduce symptoms while still keeping the heart rate lower although not as low. If I go a stretch of say 4 days or more with no diltiezem, I feel great and with no swelling or discomfort in my stomach/lower tract area.
